SURVIVAL STAFF ACTION PICTURES--PAGE 3
See the write-up about the Survival Staff (which we enjoyed reading) in Outside Magazine, Special Issue, Buyer's Guide, 2000 Annual, August 11, 2000, The Year's Coolest Gear - page 23.
"The Crawford Knives Survival Staff may do a passing imitation of a walking stick, but at nearly two pounds, it's not just about stability. It's the lurking menace of death that makes this baby a keeper. Tucked inside the hardened-aluminum, 57-inch-long pole is an arsenal of low-tech ordnance, including a six-inch knife blade and a pronged spearhead. Thread 'em onto the pole, and watch wall-eye and rival clans alike shudder with fear. But what most tickles our hunter-gatherer genes is the devastating ease of puffing out its six blowgun darts."

Well known comedian and movie star SHELLEY BERMAN, says "TURN YOUR HIKE INTO AND ADVENTURE", with the Crawford Survival Staff.
This is Wes using his Survival Staff in 1995 when Cody was a baby. As you can see, it came in handy while he was backpacking Cody and hiking the mountains at Heber Springs, Arkansas (at Greer's Ferry Lake). Needless to say, Cody was loving it!
Wes uses his staff to cross the swift river and climb the hill. He can easily walk way around the bend to the good fishing hole. For those who are familiar with Spring River and "Bayou Access", the hill gets much higher on the other side so the staff does come in handy.
