THE "CRAWFORD CREDIT CARD KARA BIT" NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT $69.95,
In November at the New York Custom Knife show we had the
pleasure to speak with Personal Protection and Preparedness
instructor George "mercop" Matheis. While looking around the
table George was immediately drawn to the credit card knife. In
the next few minutes George showed us the credit card in a
totally different light. George explained it as Selection,
Carry, Deployment, and Use. The Selection of the knife is for
someone that either wants' to carry it as a back up to another
force option, or as a stand alone last ditch tool. In either
role, your life could depend on this small piece of Titanium.
Carry options are limited only by your imagination. Of course
you have the wallet option, George's favorite is using the
supplied sheath and static cord. The cord can be pinned or tied
onto anything, allowing you to get a defensive cut at you deploy
the knife. This is great for inside of pockets, bags, and
purses. The redesign of the knife if based on George's Inverted
Edged Tactics, IET premise is that our hands rest around the
waist, and during an attack will come up and under the attacker
exposed and unprotected brachial arteries. The same is true
with cutting as you come up between your attackers legs. This
provides economy of motion by your arms not moving outside your
silhouette or that of your attackers. The redesign also allows
you to use the knife as a knuckle to strike bony, surface level
targets like the chin, nose, and forehead. Never before has a
tool this small provided such legitimate personal protection
options. We are currently working with George on other
projects. Visit George at Modern Combative Systems.com. Available engine turned and anodized or bead blasted and anodized. It is also available in an super tough black tungsten DLC coating for $89.95.
PUTTING THE CCK BACK IN THE SHEATH. This can be a little tricky, but ounce you know how it's done, no problem at all.
Put the point of the CCK in the opening in the middle of the sheath, just slip it in as you slide if forward.
When it gets in place it will lock in.
