On October 6, 2006 Bob Kasper passed away after a
long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Pat, his sister
Phyllis Leonard, and his many family and friends all around the
world.
Bob wore many hats, most dealing with his military,
and personal protection back ground. I first met Bob at a knife show
and got to know him from his writing for the knife magazines and
then later for the knives he designed. Bob did the designs from his
vast knowledge of the combative arts and the only changes I would
suggest would be what is necessary to make the knife. We did our
best to follow Bob's designs and his wishes down to the smallest
hole.
After several discussion with Pat Kasper and several
of Bob's friends we decided to do a Kasper Commemorative knife as a
way to help keep Bobs' memory alive. It was decided that the first
and the best known knife that we did together would be the one to
do. "The Kasper Fighting Folder".
